How do I choose the right Rocking Horse for my Child?

The most important thing to consider is the seat height of the horse compared to the child's height and size. You will see that there is an age range noted in the descriptions as well as a weight limit, because different children are different sizes and have varied motor skill for their ages. For most of the Rocking Horses, the inseam of the child's leg shouldn't be longer than the height of the horse's seat, or the horse will be too small for the child. Kids grow fast so better to get a horse that is a little too big so the child can grow into it and enjoy the Hobby Horse longer. Remember that it is important to have adult supervision when your child is riding the Rocking Horse or Safari Animal.

Can I get a Rocking Horse for a baby?

Rocking Horses and Rocking Chairs are great gifts for baby showers, because they are darling decorations for a nursery until the child is bigger.

Is the paint safe on the painted Wooden Rocking Horses and kids furniture?

How do I assemble the furniture?

Each Levels of Discovery furniture piece comes with its own set of easy-to-follow assembly instructions. Please read all instructions thoroughly before beginning assembly.

The assembly instructions say to use a standard Phillips head screwdriver. Can I use an electric or cordless screwdriver?

We do not recommend using power tools. Please use a manual screwdriver and do not over-tighten screws.

How do I clean the Hobby Horse?

The plush horses and safari animals are spot cleaned with mild soap and water. The wooden rocking horses and children's furniture should be treated as any fine furniture, dusted with a soft cloth and gently wiped down with a slightly damp cloth, avoiding any abrasive cleansers that might scratch the hand painted surfaces.
